Our Mission
Providence OPC is a Christian, Protestant, confessional, Presbyterian church located in Bradenton, FL. Our mission is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
As a reformed church, we are committed to expository preaching and teaching the Bible verse-by-verse and chapter-by-chapter. We hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith as our statement of faith.
We believe that all truth is God’s truth. Therefore, we seek to apply the whole counsel of God to every area of life — whether it is the family, the government, education, or business, we want to see Christ glorified.

Join Us for Worship
We offer Sunday School for all ages every Sunday starting at 9:30 AM. Classes are taught by elders or those the elders have approved.
We meet every Sunday starting at 10:30 AM for our morning public worship of God with his people. Nursery is available for young children.
We meet every Sunday starting at 5:00 PM for our evening public worship of God with his people.
How We Worship

GOD initiates our worship by calling us to worship him by his Word.
GOD’S PEOPLE respond to his call by coming before him and adoring him for who he is.
GOD’S PEOPLE respond by repenting of doing what we shouldn’t do and not doing what we should.
GOD assures us of the forgiveness of our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ.
GOD’S PEOPLE respond to his grace by giving back to him from what he’s first given to us.
GOD speaks to his people through his Word comprised of the Old and New Testaments.
GOD’S PEOPLE respond by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in praise of his Persons and work.
GOD proclaims his Word through preaching by which he converts sinners and builds up the faithful.
GOD blesses his people as he dismisses us from his presence, renewed in his grace, love, and fellowship.
Our Pastor
Michael grew up in a Christian family in Fairmont, MN. He received degrees in Biblical and Theological Studies and Philosophy before earning his MDiv. from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI in 2013.
In 2014, he accepted the call to Providence Presbyterian in Bradenton, FL and was ordained in May of 2014. He and his wife Rachel have been blessed with five children: Benjamin, Ellathea, Jonathan, Asher, and Avril.

We would be happy to have you join us for worship and fellowship. Providence organizes regular opportunities for our congregation to grow together — from Sunday potlucks and Fellowship Group to Fireside Fridays.

Our Heritage
Reformed Churches share and follow the teachings of the early reformers, including John Calvin and Martin Luther. The Protestant Reformers argued that the Bible clearly teaches these five foundational truths:

Glory to God Alone
